EMI GA Network General Meeting
Advocacy is Essential

May 22, 2023 general meeting

As we elevate youth justice, we continue our focus on ensuring that supports are made available to our children and youth as they face stressful and, too often, tragic events on a daily basis. As May is national mental health month, we recognize that our children's mental and behavioral well-being are paramount to their ability to thrive. If we desire to break the school to prison pipeline, we must redouble our advocacy efforts to promote youth justice reforms that prioritize mental and behavioral health.

We will also provide a wrap up of the legislative session and engage in advocacy planning for the coming months.
